Ariana Andonian is set to join the Sixers as vice president of player personnel Ariana Andonian is set to join the Sixers as vice president of player personnel, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The Philadelphia Sixers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey, who first hired Andonian as a Rockets scouting intern in 2015, retweeted the news.

After a year-long stint with Duke University as a player personnel consultant, Andonian joined the Memphis Grizzlies in 2020. She started as senior manager of player personnel and was promoted to director of player personnel during the 2022 offseason. Andonian was recently featured on The Athletic’s “40 Under 40” list, which highlighted her attention to detail and scouting skills. In 2018, she was the only female scout for an NBA team and played a key role in coordinating the Rockets’ college scouting operations.

Prosper Karangwa will remain a Sixers vice president of player personnel, sharing the title with Andonian but focusing on different areas. Karangwa, who has worked closely with Morey and other Sixers executives, has been pivotal in shaping the team’s player development approach. He and Andonian are expected to bring complementary skill sets to the Sixers’ front office, enhancing their scouting and player evaluation strategies.
