"The security of our border villages should be the primary goal of our goverment". - Petros Fichijian

"We should prepare for war during peacful times, because the better we prepare oursevles, when there is no danger, the stronger we will be during an actual war"- Armenian-American Petros Fuchijan shared with us in his interview. Since 2018, with his own funds, he was renovating the school shelter of Tavush region's border village Kot. And now, together with his family, he is in Tavush, to see everything by himself. Border villages are the "doors" of the country. Hence, they should always be at the center of the goverment's attention, believes Petros Fuchijan. "No modern city and house in the capital is satisfying, when there can be bombs attacking your borders. This is the reason for which our Fichijian family decided to renovate this school's shelter, to make sure that children are safe during a possible attack. Sadly, there are many regions in Armenia, where there are almost no shelters, and it hurts to imagine, what kind of consequences these failures can bring." The businessman shares that it should be every businessman's responsability to care for our border villages and ensure the development of their security.
