Armeconombank and YOKO: A Success Story Built on Trust
YOKO is an Armenian pet food brand founded five years ago that has built its growth journey through close cooperation with Armeconombank. The company’s founders, Rafael Vardanyan and Davit Levonyan, produce dog food made from natural ingredients. Having established a strong position in the Armenian market, they are now taking steps to introduce their products to international markets.
“It all started when Yoko, my Akita dog, came into my life. I couldn’t find dog food without artificial additives on the local market, so I started experimenting on my own. Around that time, I received a business partnership proposal from Davit, and together we founded the brand,” says YOKO co-founder Rafael Vardanyan, highlighting Yoko’s unique role in inspiring the creation of the business.
Every business reaches a stage of development when additional financing becomes essential. That was the moment when the partnership with Armeconombank became a key factor in supporting the company’s further growth.
“We chose Armeconombank because of its attractive financing terms and its willingness to support the development of Armenian manufacturing. In our case, it was important not only to have access to financing and reliable banking services, but also to receive the support and guidance that we have consistently experienced throughout our cooperation with the bank,” notes YOKO co-founder Davit Levonyan. He adds that the attracted funds were used for brand development, the purchase of new equipment, and the expansion of the production facility.
Reflecting on their journey and sharing their experience, the brand’s co-founders emphasize that timely investments often play a crucial role in the success and growth of small businesses. Despite the challenges and uncertainties that may arise along the way, having a reliable financial partner is essential.
Davit and Rafael are determined to continue moving forward. Their plans include expanding the product range and entering new markets, with Georgia being the first step in their international expansion journey. They are confident that their partnership with Armeconombank will continue to provide valuable support as they pursue these new opportunities.
