An American diplomat stated that they actively tried to bring Armenia and Azerbaijan closer to peace. The United States sees a unique opportunity to achieve peaceful agreements between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Secretary of State Antony Blinken made this statement while speaking at the Brookings Institution.Blinken is convinced that normalizing relations will create enormous opportunities for economic growth and strengthening ties among countries in the east, west, south, and north of the region.
