Business Development in Lori Region: Armeconombank Participates in the UBA Forum
Armeconombank participated in the regional forum held in Vanadzor titled "Opportunities and Perspectives for Cooperation Between Business and the Banking System in the Lori Region," initiated by the Union of Banks of Armenia (UBA). The forum, held on April 3, aimed to showcase business financing tools by bringing together representatives from the banking sector, government agencies, and the business community.
The event kicked off with the "Banks and Business in Vanadzor" expo, where Armeconombank presented its SME policy, specialized financial instruments, and a range of retail banking products tailored for the sector. The subsequent panel discussions focused on improving access to finance and exploring business development opportunities, including those available through state support and international programs.
In the Lori region, Armeconombank’s SME financing is primarily directed toward the textile industry, renewable energy and energy efficiency, the tourism sector (including hotel management), as well as agriculture.
A key highlight of the forum was the success story of "Gloria," Armenia’s largest garment factory, which expanded through Armeconombank’s financing. The long-standing partnership with the Bank has enabled the factory, which employs 2,500 people, to modernize its equipment and significantly increase its production capacity.
Armeconombank emphasizes the importance of such events dedicated to uncovering regional business potential, noting that the forum in Lori served as a valuable platform for establishing new strategic partnerships.
