Harris Could Be Weakest U.S. President Since Buchanan
U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, if she wins the presidential election in November, will become the weakest constitutionally in terms of power since the 15th American president (1857-1861) James Buchanan, writes American Conservative columnist Colin Pratt."...Harris will be the weakest constitutionally American president since Buchanan," writes the columnist.Pratt notes that this is because Harris will be dependent on the whims of sponsors, department heads, and Congress leadership. The columnist believes she will face the risk of major conflicts 'on every inhabited continent except Australia,' the strengthening of BRICS, and threats to the financial hegemony of Western countries.The U.S. presidential election will take place on November 5. Donald Trump has been officially nominated by the Republican Party for the presidency. From the Democrats, current Vice President Kamala Harris plans to run, though she still needs to receive formal nomination from the party at the upcoming convention in Chicago.
