FIFA: Armenia drop 3 spots
The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) on Thursday issued its new World Ranking.
Accordingly, the Armenian national squad have fallen three spots and are now ranked 85th in the new FIFA standings, albeit they have played no matches since the previous World Ranking.
The squad’s once 30th ranking was a record-breaking high for the country.

Mkhitaryan assists homeless man in Manchester
Manchester United (England; a.k.a. Red Devils) midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan helped out a homeless man in Manchester, according to the Mirror newspaper of Great Britain.
Coming out of the San Carlo Italian restaurant in the city center, the captain of the Armenian national football squad approached his car, near which he saw a homeless man, and he gave him a £5 (about $6.30) note.

Armenia’s Grigoryan becomes international tournament winner
On April 16 and 17, the national taekwondo team of Armenia competed in the prestigious G1 ranking Fajr Cup that was held in Sari, Iran.
At the event, Armenia’s Arsen Grigoryan (87kg) won a gold medal while Sergey Vardazaryan (68kg) became a bronze medalist in their respective weight classes, informed the Taekwondo Federation of Armenia.
A total of 26 teams from 19 countries participated in this tournament.
At the end, Armenia ranked fourth in team, but third in country standings.
Armenia freestyle wrestlers to return from Turkey with 2 medals
The national freestyle wrestling team of Armenia will return home with two medals from an international tournament that wrapped up in Istanbul, Turkey.
On the last day of this event, Narek Sirunyan won a silver medal in the 65kg category.
